Police lay charges after evade

Geelong Police have arrested two men and a woman after a Holden sedan evaded police in Norlane on Thursday morning.

Police initially observed the Holden sedan in Norlane about 9.40am.

Officers quickly responded and with assistance from the Air Wing, three occupants in the Holden were shortly later arrested on Station Lake Road.

Three firearms were allegedly located inside the Holden sedan.

Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged the alleged driver of the Holden, a 25-year-old Wendouree man, with 15 offences including prohibited person possessing a firearm, reckless conduct endangering life, failing to stop on police direction and possessing a drug of dependence.

He has been remanded to appear at Geelong Magistrates' Court on 5 May, 2023.

The passengers in the Holden, a 22-year-old Ocean Grove man and a 21-year-old Norlane woman, have been released pending further enquiries.
