Police lay charges after fatal bus crash - Tempe

A man has been charged following a fatal crash in Sydney's south earlier this year.

About 8.30pm on Thursday 24 March 2022, emergency services were called to the Princes Highway, Tempe, following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a bus.

On arrival, officers from Inner West Police Area Command found a 25-year-old woman deceased.

The bus driver, a 55-year-old man, was not injured and was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Inner West Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following extensive inquiries, officers issued a Court Attendance Notice to the 55-year-old man for negligent driving occasioning death yesterday (Monday 14 November 2022).

He is due to appear at Newtown Local Court on Tuesday 17 January 2023.
