Police lay charges after fatal car crash in Elwood

Police have charged a man in relation to a fatal crash in Elwood on 21 November.

It is believed three men were travelling in a sedan along Broadway when the driver lost control about 4.15pm.

The vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a tree.

A 33-year-old man from United Kingdom, a passenger, was conveyed to hospital where he later died.

The other male passenger, a 28-year-old Irish man, remains in hospital with serious injuries.

The 33-year-old driver, a man from United Kingdom, has been multiple offences including culpable driving.

He has been remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
