Police lay charges after ride-share driver injured - North Kellyville

A man will appear in court next month after allegedly assaulting a ride-share driver in Sydney's north-west overnight.

About 3.10am (Sunday 18 April 2021), police responded to reports of a fight between two men on Nullabor Street, North Kellyville.

Officers from The Hills Police Area Command attended and found a 27-year-old man unconscious in the street suffering a head injury; police rendered assistance until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived. He was taken to Westmead Hospital where he's reported to be in a stable condition.

A 19-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Castle Hill Police Station where he was charged with affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 5 May 2021.

Two other passengers, an 18-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man, were not injured.
