Police lay charges after sexual act on train near Central

A man has been charged after allegedly performing a sexual act on a train in March.

About 6.30pm on Friday 6 March 2020, a woman entered a train at Central Railway Station travelling in the direction of Sydney International Airport.

She observed an unknown man performing a sexual act within the same train carriage.

The man alighted the train at International Airport Railway Station and the incident was reported to police, with an investigation commenced by officers from the Police Transport Command North/ Central.

Following inquiries, at 2.30pm on Friday 22 May 2020, a 23-year-old man was arrested at a home on Woods Street, Riverstone.

He was taken to Riverstone Police Station where he was charged with carry out sexual act with another without consent.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court on Monday 13 July 2020.
