Police lay charges after stabbing at Blacktown

Two teenagers have been charged after a stabbing at Blacktown in October.

About 8.20pm on Wednesday 30 October 2019, an 18-year-old man suffered a punctured lung after allegedly being stabbed in the back inside a shopping complex on Patrick Street.

Police were told the man was involved in an altercation with four other males.

Detectives from Blacktown Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.

Following inquiries, a search warrant was executed on two homes on Jindella Crescent and Vallingby Avenue in Hebersham today (Tuesday 3 December 2019).

Officers arrested two boys, aged 16 and 17, who were taken to Mt Druitt Police Station.

The boys were charged with affray and granted conditional bail.

They will appear before a children's court on Monday 13 January 2020.

Inquiries are continuing to locate the two other males.
