Police lay charges after Thomastown collision

Whittlesea Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged three teenagers following a collision in Thomastown on 10 October.

It's alleged four teenage boys were travelling in an allegedly stolen car when it collided with a truck on Mahoneys Road about 1.10pm.

One of the occupants of the car attempted to steal a nearby vehicle but was unsuccessful and was quickly arrested.

The four male occupants of the car were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries under police guard.

The male truck driver and the driver of a vehicle it's alleged one of the teens attempted to steal were also taken to hospital as a precaution.

A 15-year-old Mill Park boy has been charged with theft of motor vehicle, commit indictable offence while on bail, reckless conduct endangering life, drive at a speed dangerous and handle stolen goods.

A 14-year-old Lalor boy has been charged with theft of motor vehicle and commit indictable offence while on bail.

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with theft of motor vehicle and commit indictable offence while on bail.

All three have been bailed to appear in a children's court at a later date.

A 19-year-old Kalkallo man remains in hospital and is yet to be interviewed at this stage.
