Police lay charges - Aggravated assault at Tennant Creek 29 May

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 26-year-old man for an aggravated assault on a child in Tennant Creek yesterday.

Police allege the male was intoxicated when he assaulted the child using a blunt weapon.

The child was transported to the Adelaide Women's and Children's Hospital by Royal Flying Doctor Service for serious injuries.

The man has since been charged with Cause Serious Harm was remanded to appear in Alice Springs Local Court tomorrow.
