Police lay charges - Aggravated robbery in Darwin City 5 July

Northern Territory Police have charged 4 female youths after an aggravated robbery in Darwin City last month.

Around 9pm on Friday 16 June, two female victims were walking along Cavanagh Street, Darwin City, when they were assaulted by a group of offenders.

The offenders stole a quantity of cash and items from the victims before fleeing the scene.

Both victims received multiple cuts and bruises with one suffering a broken finger, requiring surgery and an arm cast.

Detectives from Strike Force Trident have been investigating the incident and arrested 4 females, aged between 12 and 15, yesterday.

They were charged with:

  • Aggravated Robbery x 2
  • Damage to Property x 1

All were bailed to appear in court later this month.

Investigations are ongoing.
