Police lay charges - Alcohol offences in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to the unlawful sale of alcohol in Alice Springs.

The Southern Alcohol Policing Unit arrested the 66-year-old man yesterday for allegedly using a commercial passenger vehicle service to illegally supply alcohol to the public.

He has been charged with:

  • 2 x Unauthorised sale of liquor

He was bailed to appear before Alice Springs Local Court on 13 October 2021.

Senior Sergeant Alex Brennan said, "The Northern Territory Police work tirelessly to reduce alcohol related violence in our community. Actions such as this make that job even harder as it has consequences that go further than just the sale of overpriced liquor."
