Police lay charges - Criminal Damage in Katherine

Northern Territory Police have arrested three youths in relation to unlawful entry at a commercial premises in Katherine.

Strike Force Cerberus conducted an investigation into an incident on 14 August 2021, where three youths allegedly threw rocks at a community facility in Katherine. CCTV provided by the organisation helped police identify the alleged offenders.

Two males, aged 11, will be subject to the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 2005.

A 14-year-old female has been charged with:

  • 1x Damage to property

She has been bailed to appear before court on 24 September 2021.

Superintendent Craig Garland said, "Police will continue to work with our partner agencies to detect, deter, disrupt, investigate and prosecute offenders who continue to cause damage to business in Katherine."
