The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested and charged a 31-year-old male in relation to a domestic violence assault that occurred in Alice Springs yesterday.
Around 3:15pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre (JESCC) received a report that a female aged in her 30s had been assaulted by a male known to her at a residence in Ciccone.
Police attended and the victim was conveyed to hospital for assessment.
The offender was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with:
- Choking, Strangulation or Suffocating (DV relationship)
- 2 x Aggravated Assault
- Breach DVO
- Damage to Property
He was remanded to appear in court today.
