Police lay charges over indecent assault in Katherine 16 August

Northern Territory Police have charged a youth for a number of serious offences allegedly committed between 2019 and 2021 in Katherine.

Detectives arrested a 15-year-old male on Friday for his alleged involvement in three unlawful entries in November and December of 2019 at the same residence. One of these incidents allegedly resulted in the resident being indecently assaulted.

He has also been charged for his alleged involvement in a further two unlawful entries at a different address during August 2021. One of these unlawful entries has also allegedly resulted in an indecent assault.

Police have charged the male with:

  • 1 x Attempted Sexual Intercourse without Consent
  • 1 x Assault aggravated - indecent
  • 1 x Gross indecency
  • 1 x Damage to property
  • 4 x Unlawful entry
  • 1 x Attempted unlawful entry.

He was remanded to face court on 20 August 2021.
