Police lay charges over indecent assault outside medical centre at Seven Hills

A man will face court today charged over allegedly indecently assaulting a woman in Sydney's west.

About 12.30pm on Thursday 16 April 2020, a 69-year-old woman was walking towards a medical centre on Artillery Crescent at Seven Hills for an appointment.

Police will allege in court that, when she approached the centre, a man directed her to a nearby property; telling her it was the medical centre.

The man then allegedly performed a lewd act before indecently assaulting the woman, which caused her to fall to the ground.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

Following extensive inquiries and a public appeal, a 26-year-old man attended Brewarrina Police Station about 12pm yesterday (Thursday 21 May 2020), where he was arrested.

The Seven Hills man was charged with sexually touch another person without consent.

He was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court today (Friday 22 May 2020).
