Police lay charges over indecent exposure - Central Railway Station

A man has been charged over allegedly indecently exposing himself to an off-duty police officer at Central Railway Station today.

About 6.45pm (Thursday 12 December 2019), an off-duty probationary constable entered a cubicle inside the male toilets at Central Railway Station, when he allegedly saw a man staring at him through a crack in the door.

Police will allege in court that the man then entered the neighbouring cubicle before kneeling onto the floor and indecently exposing himself to the off-duty officer.

When the probationary constable approached the man, he was allegedly peering through another occupied toilet cubicle.

Officers from Police Transport Command attended and arrested the 43-year-old man, who was taken to Day Street Police Station.

He was charged with wilful and obscene exposure in/near public place, and voyeurism.

The man was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 22 January 2020.
