Police lay charges over property offences - Northern Suburbs 13 March

Northern Territory Police have charged a 13-year-old boy with multiple property offences after two unlawful entries over the weekend.

Overnight between Friday and Saturday, a group of youths stole a vehicle from a residence in Anula, later utilising it in a ram raid at a business on Casuarina Drive.

A significant quantity of alcohol was stolen and extensive damage was caused.

A 13-year-old was arrested on Saturday morning and charged with:

  • Aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle
  • Damage to property
  • Stealing
  • Armed with an offensive weapon
  • Serious breach of bail

He was remanded in custody to appear before court today.

On a separate occasion, a business within the Jape Homemaker Village was unlawfully entered on Saturday at around 2:30am. A large number of hunting items and two electric scooters were stolen from the premises.
