Police lay charges over property offences in Alice Springs 1 October

Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to property offences in Alice Springs earlier this week.

The 18-year-old male was arrested yesterday for his alleged involvement in a series of unlawful entries in Braitling on the 28 September. He was also allegedly involved in the unlawful use of a motor vehicle on Kurrajong Drive in East Side on the 27 September and a trespass incident on Mallam Crescent in Sadadeen on the 25 September.

Strike Force Viper investigators have charged him with:

  • 2 x Attempt unlawful entry
  • 1 x Stealing
  • 1 x Damage to property
  • 1 x Trespass
  • 1 x Unlawful use of motor vehicle
  • 1 x Drive motor vehicle whilst unlicensed
  • 1 x Drive in a manner dangerous
  • 1 x Drive without due care

He was remanded to appear in Alice Springs Local Court today.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Tim Healey said, "Investigations into these incidents are on-going and we urge anyone with information to contact police on 131 444. Please quote reference 9805427."
