Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to an assault in Alice Springs on Friday night.
At around 12:45am, after being refused entry to premises in the Todd Mall, a 21-year-old male allegedly assaulted an employee and fled the scene.
Police arrested the man a short time later and the victim was conveyed to Alice Springs Hospital for treatment.
The 21-year-old has since been charged with one count of unlawfully cause serious harm and has been remanded to appear in Alice Springs Local Court Tuesday 3 May 2022.
Detective Sergeant Adam Donaldson said, "Investigations are ongoing and we are urging anyone who witnessed the assault to contact police on 131 444. Please quote reference 9994627."
