The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested and charged a man for firearm offences in Pine Creek earlier this week.
Around 8:30pm on Tuesday, a man and a woman attended a residence on Little Street, Pine Creek, to meet a 41-year-old man who was known to them.
An altercation allegedly occurred and the couple left the location.
Around 9pm that night, it is alleged the 41-year-old attended the couple's Pine Creek address and fired a shotgun round into the air before leaving the scene in his vehicle.
Police arrested the 41-year-old man the following day and seized both of his firearms. He has since been charged with:
- Discharge of firearm causing danger
- Going armed in public
- Discharge of firearms on roads
- Possess firearm under influence
He was bailed to appear in the Katherine Local Court on 19 October 2026.
