Detectives from the Petrie Criminal Investigation Branch and Homicide Investigation Unit have charged a man with murder following the death of a Burpengary man this morning, 6 March.
Police and emergency services were called to an address at Winfred Street around 9am following reports a 69-year-old Burpengary man was unresponsive inside the property.
A 35-year-old Burpengary man was arrested at the scene.
Following investigations, the man was charged with one count of murder domestic violence this afternoon.
He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 7 March.
The pair were known to each other and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Investigations are ongoing.
