Police locate stolen cars during Corio arrest

Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives located two stolen cars whilst executing an outstanding warrant in Corio this morning.

Police attended a property on Merlin Crescent to arrest a man in relation to an ongoing burglary investigation about 4.30am.

Upon arrival, police located an outstanding stolen vehicle in the driveway.

Police arrested the 27-year-old man inside the address and located another stolen vehicle and stolen plates at the rear of the property.

Another 29-year-old male resident was arrested at the scene as a result.

He was interviewed by police and released pending further enquiries.

The 27-year-old remains in custody in relation to the warrant and will appear at Geelong Magistrates' Court on 13 January 2020.
