Police make arrest after Blind Bight stabbing

A man has been arrested following a stabbing in Blind Bight last night.

Police responded to multiple reports of a car seen driving erratically in the area from about 9.45pm.

It is believed an alleged altercation occurred between the driver and the occupants of another vehicle which resulted in a man sustaining a stab wound.

He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators arrested a 25-year-old man in Narre Warren this morning.

He was interviewed and subsequently charged with:

• Intentionally cause injury;

• Recklessly cause injury;

• Two counts of traffic a drug of dependence;

• Possess materials for the manufacture of a drug of dependence; and

• Possess a prohibited weapon.

The Narre Warren man has been remanded in custody to appear at Dandenong magistrates' court tomorrow (22 July).
