Police make arrest after erratic driving in Fawkner

Fawkner Highway Patrol officers have arrested a man following a series of driving incidents in Fawkner around 11am this morning.

Police received a number of calls from the public regarding a blue Mitsubishi ASX driving erratically between Tullamarine Freeway and Sydney Road, Fawkner.

It's alleged the vehicle has had a collision either with another vehicle or a barrier, causing the car to lose a tyre.

The vehicle stopped initially before allegedly continuing driving on the Hume Freeway on three wheels.

The vehicle was located and intercepted by police on the Cooper Street off ramp in Epping a short time later.

The 36-year-old Kings Park man is expected to be charged on summons with conduct endangering life/serious injury, speed manner dangerous, possess drug of dependence and drug driving.
