Police Make Arrest After Stabbing At Myponga

A man was arrested after a stabbing at Myponga this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the Myponga Oval just before 5pm on Thursday 26 March.

A 52-year-old Mount Compass man was found with a stab wound to the back. He was airlifted to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 27-year-old Myponga man was arrested and charged with assault cause harm. He has been refused police bail and is expected to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court tomorrow, Friday 27 March.

Investigations are in the early stages, but it is believed the assault occurred following a road rage incident involving the two men.
