Northern Territory Police have arrested a 26-year-old male in relation to an assault in Nakara on 16 February 2021.
A 31-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted by an unknown man on Macredie Street in the late afternoon.
Two bystanders, who witnessed the incident came to the woman's aid and the man fled the scene before police arrived.
Detectives arrested a man today in relation to the incident and he is expected to be charged with multiple offences later today.
Detective Sergeant Jon Beer said, "We would like to thank the members of the public who not only came to the victim's aid but also those who came forward with information regarding the incident".
