The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a 19-year-old male in relation to an aggravated robbery that occurred in Casuarina on Saturday evening.
Around 5:40pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports that a vehicle had been stolen from a carpark at a shopping centre along Trower Road.
It is alleged a 19-year-old male offender approached a 39-year-old male and an adult female who was holding a 10-month-old infant and threatened the male with an edged weapon before stealing their vehicle.
No injuries were reported to police as a result of the incident.
Police attended the scene and, a short time later, with the assistance of Strike Force Trident and the Dog Operations Unit, the offender was located and arrested.
The 19-year-old male remains in custody with charges expected to follow.
