The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a man after an aggravated unlawfully entry at a residence in Karama overnight.
Around 8:20pm, police received reports that two offenders had entered a property on Mahogany Crescent, Karama, while two adults and their four young children were inside.
The offenders were allegedly stealing from the children's money boxes when they were confronted by the father who chased them to the lounge room, where he apprehended one of them.
Police attended the scene and arrested a 25-year-old man who remains in custody and is expected to be charged later today.
The father received minor injuries during the incident, including allegedly being spat on by the offender.
Police have since identified the second offender and efforts are currently underway to locate him.
Investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
