A 60-year-old female has been arrested after she assaulted a paramedic in Alice Springs yesterday afternoon.
Around 5:40pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report of a female requiring medical attention at a residence in Bloomfield Street, Gillen.
St John Ambulance attended, and the female patient allegedly physically assaulted one of the paramedics treating her. Police were called and the offender was arrested. The paramedic suffered minor injuries.
The 60-year-old has since been charged with Assault Ambulance Emergency Worker and was remanded to appear in Alice Springs Local Court today. She did not require further medical treatment.
