Police make arrest - Burglary in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are investigating an aggravated burglary incident that occurred at a residence in Gillen on Wednesday afternoon.

Police will allege that the offender unlawfully entered the residence via a dog door while the occupant was home at the time of the incident.

The occupant confronted the intruder before chasing him to a nearby service station, where the offender allegedly threatened the victim before both parties left the scene.

Earlier this morning, police located the 17-year-old man and he was arrested without incident. He remains in police custody and is expected to be charged later today.

Police would like to remind residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity promptly to ensure the safety of the community.
