Police Make Arrest - Disturbance In Alice Springs 4 December

The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a 30-year-old female in relation to an incident that occurred at a school in Alice Springs earlier this morning.

Around 8:50am, police received reports that a female offender, allegedly armed with a stick, had entered a school on Blain Street in Araluen and was threatening students.

Police responded and arrested the 30-year-old female. She remains in police custody and investigations are ongoing.

The school has since lifted the lockdown, and no students or staff were injured.

There is no further risk to students at the school or the public.
