Police make arrest - Drugs seized in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged a man found in possession of more than $450,000 worth of cannabis.

The 29-year-old man was arrested after police located 19 kilos of cannabis, six vials of cannabis oil and a quantity of cash in the vehicle he was travelling in, just south of Alice Springs on Friday afternoon.

The man was charged with one count each of;

  • Possess Schedule 2 Dangerous Drug
  • Received or Possess Property obtained from the commission of an offence
  • Possess Schedule 2 Drug - Commercial
  • Supply Drug - Commercial.

He has been remanded in custody to appear before the Alice Springs Local Court on January 30, 2020.
