Police make arrest over unlawful entry in Darwin

Three youths who are alleged to have unlawfully entered a home in Wanguri earlier today, have been apprehended by Northern Territory Police.

Just before 2:30am police received a report of an unlawful entry in which the occupant disturbed a number of intruders inside the property.

Members from the Dog Operations Unit arrived first on scene, with Police Dog Wedge deployed and apprehending three youth.

The three males were taken into police custody and a 16 and 17-year-old were later released by police and are expected to be summonsed to appear before court at a later date.

A 15-year-old male required medical treatment for a dog bite received during the arrest. He was taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment.

Investigations to identify others involved in the property offending, continues.
