Police make arrest - Robbery - Palmerston

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 25-year-old male in relation to alleged robberies which occurred in Palmerston and Batchelor on Wednesday 20 November 2019.

At 8:30am, he is believed to have allegedly assaulted a male in Palmerston and stole his vehicle before travelling to Batchelor and rolling the vehicle. A bystander stopped to assist the male then he allegedly assaulted the bystander before stealing his vehicle, a Toyota Hilux with NT registration 912050.

At about 10:30am, the offender allegedly tried to steal a vehicle from a woman at Wangi Falls. She did not sustain any injuries.

Later that afternoon the offender is alleged to have stolen a blue Hyundai Kona with NT registration CD76VR from an address in Wagait Beach,

At about 11:30pm, the offender allegedly approached a service station in Rosebery whilst staff were unloading stock from a vehicle. The offender got into the vehicle whilst staff were inside the building. The offender stole a quantity of tobacco and left the scene, to then return to the scene with another male suspect. The male suspect has entered the service station while the other male offender entered the vehicle again taking the owner's wallet before leaving the scene.

The blue Hyundai was involved in a pursuit with police at 9:36am this morning. TRG were deployed to provide assistance and the vehicle was later stopped by Police and the offender was taking into custody.
