Police make arrest - Stolen Vehicle - Malak

Strike Force Trident have arrested an adult and 2 youths after a woman was robbed and her vehicle stolen in Malak early this morning.

At 3:15am, police received reports that 3 females assaulted a female victim on Hands Court, Malak, stealing her handbag and fleeing the scene in the victim's vehicle.

Strike Force Trident, the Dog Unit and General Duties Officers deployed to track the vehicle throughout the northern suburbs.

The vehicle was located abandoned in Leanyer and a cordon was established in nearby bushland. Two offenders were arrested within the cordon, with the final offender arrested a short time later in Casuarina.

The trio, aged 14, 16 and 18, are expected to be charged with aggravated robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and driving offences. They all currently remain in custody.
