Police make arrests after quad bike pursuit in Cranbourne

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested two men following a pursuit involving a quad bike in Cranbourne this morning.

The pair were observed on an allegedly stolen quad bike which was loaded with a roll of carpet and a door in the Casey Fields area about 2.50am.

Police attempted to intercept the pair, but they failed to stop, and a pursuit commenced.

Stop sticks were deployed and the vehicle was monitored by the police airwing before the quad bike got bogged in a nearby paddock and the pair were arrested.

A 28- year-old Cranbourne man has since been released pending further enquiries.

A second man, aged 35, also from Cranbourne, remains in custody.
