Police make arrests over unlawful entry in Alice Springs 2 March

Two youths who are alleged to have stolen thousands of dollars of jewellery in an unlawful entry of a Todd Mall business, have been arrested and charged by Strike Force Viper.

It is alleged the two males, aged 13 and 14-years-old, were part of a group of youths who unlawfully entered a Todd Mall business just before 5am yesterday.

It is further alleged the group stole more than $2000 worth of jewellery and caused a significant amount of property damage before fleeing the scene.

Investigations by Strike Force Viper identified two of the youth in the group, and located and arrested the pair shortly after.

The youth were charged with one count each of Unlawful entry, Damage to property and Stealing. One youth was remanded in custody to appear before court today while the other was bailed to appear at a later date.

Investigations to identify the other offenders in the group, continue.
