Police make arrests - Strike Force Trident at Casuarina

Northern Territory Police have arrested an 18-year-old male and a 15-year-old female in relation to two separate aggravated robberies at Casuarina yesterday.

At 4:15pm, the alleged male offender produced an edged weapon and stole from a victim at a shopping centre on Trower Road. Simultaneously, the 15-year-old female allegedly assaulted and stole from a second victim at the same location. Both alleged offenders are believed to have been known to the victims.

At 6:00pm, the 18-year-old male was believed to be involved in another incident at the same location.

Detectives from Strike Force Trident canvassed the area for CCTV and arrested the offenders earlier today. The pair are expected to be charged later today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said "This behaviour is completely unacceptable and detectives urge anyone who witnessed, or was a victim in these incidents, to make contact on 131 444 or in an emergency to call Triple Zero.

"Strike Force Trident will continue to combat property offences in all their forms to keep the community safe."
