A man - allegedly found hiding in a storm water drain - and woman have been arrested following a police operation in the state's central west.
Today (Wednesday 22 October 2025), officers attached to Central West Police District attended several addresses in Orange as part of inquiries to locate a man wanted on a warrant relating to alleged domestic violence offences.
About 4.50pm, officers attended a home on McLachlan Street, Orange, before a 21-year-old man jumped over the rear fence of the property and entered a storm water canal of East Orange Creek.
Police arrested a 20-year-old woman for allegedly breaching bail conditions at the McLachlan Street address, and pursued the 21-year-old man before he entered an underground drain near Byng Street.
Police Rescue, NSW Ambulance paramedics and Orange City Council resources attended to assist in locating and removing the man from the underground system.
About 7.30pm he was located with a drain inspection camera before being arrested.
The man was assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Orange Police Station, where the warrant was executed.
The 20-year-old woman was also taken to Orange Police Station and charged with breach of bail.
They are both due to appear before Bail Division Court 4 tomorrow (Thursday 23 October 2025).
