Police officer charged – Intelligence, Counter-Terrorism and Major Events Command

A 39-year-old male Constable from Intelligence, Counter-Terrorism and Major Events Command has been charged with one count of stalking under section 359E of the Criminal Code 1899. A domestic violence application was made at the time of the officer’s arrest. The officer is currently suspended from official duty with the Queensland Police Service, Queensland Police say.

The officer is to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on May 16, 2017.

The officer is the subject of a current disciplinary investigation concerning allegations of domestic violence. The additional allegation of stalking and further allegations of domestic violence will now be considered as part of any future disciplinary action.
