Police officer charged - North West Metropolitan Region

A police officer has been charged over alleged sexual touching offences.

On Saturday 11 December 2021, officers attached to the Professional Standards Command commenced an investigation into alleged sexual touching offences.

Following inquiries, a 50-year-old male Sergeant – attached to a command in the North West Metropolitan Region – was given a Future Court Attendance Notice today (Thursday 24 February 2022), charged with two counts of sexually touch another person without consent.

The man is next due to appear at Penrith Local Court on Friday 8 April 2022.

His employment status remains under review.
