Police officer chargedin Brisbane 8 July

The Queensland Police Service has charged a male police officer following investigations into allegations of domestic violence while off-duty.

The 51-year-old man was charged with three counts of sexual assault and two counts of suffocating in a domestic relationship.

He appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday where he is due to reappear on July 18.

The Sergeant has been suspended from duty.
