Police officer injured in crash at Salisbury East, SA

A police officer is in hospital with minor injuries after an on duty collision at Salisbury East overnight, according to SA Police.

Just after 11:30pm a police car conducting general patrols duties was travelling along Adaleigh Avenue when it collided with a tree at the intersection of Lysander Place and Adaleigh Avenue.

The police car rolled over onto its roof but both male officers were able to get out of the vehicle.

One officer has been taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital with minor head injuries and to be treated for shock.

The driver did not receive any injuries.

Elizabeth police are investigating the circumstances around the crash.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash and police were not involved in a pursuit.
