Police officer stood down Southern Region

A 35-year-old Senior Constable from the Southern Region has been stood down from official duty with the Queensland Police Service and will be tasked to perform non-operational duties, Queensland Police say.

The officer is the subject of an investigation into allegations he drove his private motor vehicle whilst under the influence of a prescription drug. He is also to appear before the Caboolture Magistrates Court on October 25 on one charge of dangerous operation whilst adversely effected.

In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct.  This does not mean that the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.
