Police officer suspended South Eastern Region

A 42-year-old male constable from the South Eastern Region has been suspended from official duty with the Queensland Police Service.

The officer is subject of an investigation into allegations of drink driving to work in their private vehicle and has been served a notice to appear charged with failing to provide a specimen of breath. The charge is to be heard in the Southport Magistrates Court on June 12, 2019.

In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct. This does not mean the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.
