Police Operation Concludes - Panania

A police operation has concluded at Panania this morning.

About 7.55am today (Friday 3 October 2025), police were called to a house on Wollongbar Avenue, following reports four men, one of whom was believed to be armed with a firearm, were seen entering the property.

Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command established a perimeter, with assistance from Tactical Operations Unit, PolAir, Dog Unit, Traffic and Highway Patrol, Police Negotiators and Raptor Squad.

About 11.30am, the operation concluded and police established a crime scene at the property.

Police have been told a male occupant was assaulted by the men. She did not require treatment nor transport to hospital.

The occupants of the house are assisting police with their inquiries.

Inquiries are ongoing.
