Police Operation In Horsley Park Concludes

A police operation has concluded without incident in Sydney's south-west this afternoon.

Multiple police resources attended a property on Burley Road, Horsley Park, shortly before 2pm (Sunday 31 May 2026), responding to reports of shots fired inside a home.

A perimeter was established by officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command, and have been assisted by specialists from the Police Aviation Command (PolAir), Public Order and Riot Squad (PORS), Dog Unit, Tactical Operations Unit (TOU).

About 2.30pm, two vehicles were stopped near the property and seven people spoken to.

Acting on information provided, police attended a house on the property and spoke with a 47-year-old man. He has been arrested and is assisting police.

No injuries have been reported.

A crime scene has been established, and inquiries are continuing.
