Police out and about for Summersault Festival

Victoria Police will be out and about to ensure the annual Summersault Festival in Caroline Springs is a safe and enjoyable event.

The event, held on 9 February, brings together the community and visitors to Caroline Springs for a family friendly celebration.

Police have undertaken extensive planning for the festival, working closely with the Melton City Council to ensure it's a safe and secure celebration for all.

Caroline Springs Senior Sergeant Jason Dolman said police will be there every step of the way for festival goers.

"From inside and outside the festival grounds, at transport hubs and across the Caroline Springs and Melton area, police will be out to ensure everyone has a safe time," Snr Sgt Dolman said.

"We want to encourage all Caroline Springs residents and visitors to come along and enjoy everything on offer at Summersault this year, as we know the vast majority of attendees do.

"Our presence will send a clear message to anyone thinking about attending the event to cause trouble.

"Police will not tolerate any disruptive, anti-social or criminal behaviour.

"We're excited to see festival-goers enjoy the event, which promises a number of activities and entertainment, including live music, food, rides and market stalls.

"Our officers will also be around long after the event concludes to ensure everyone gets home safely," Snr Sgt Dolman said.

The Summersault Festival is an annual community event on 9 February at the Town Centre, Caroline Springs.

Summersault Festival runs from 2pm – 10pm, with a special fireworks display concluding the event.
