Investigations are continuing after a NSW Ambulance Paramedic was allegedly struck with a vehicle at an accident scene in Sydney’s South-West yesterday, NSW Police say.
Just after 4pm today, police were called to Reilly Street, Liverpool, after a motorcycle struck a parked vehicle.
While other paramedics treated the motorcyclist, an additional paramedic was assisting with traffic control when he was allegedly struck by a Holden Commodore that was attempting to get past.
The paramedic suffered minor injuries and was taken to Liverpool Hospital for assessment.
The 52-year-old male driver was arrested at the scene and taken to Liverpool Police Station. He was later released pending further inquiries.
The motorcyclist involved in the original crash was taken to Liverpool Hospital with serious injuries. He is understood to be in a stable condition.
