Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred in Lidcombe overnight, NSW Police say.
About 11.30pm today emergency services were called to Hill Road where a car had crashed into a power pole.
On arrival officers located the male driver out of the vehicle and attempting to flee the scene.
He was arrested a short distance away by officers from Flemington Local Area Command and taken by ambulance to Westmead Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
He was the sole occupant of the vehicle and early investigations suggest alcohol may be a contributing factor.
Inquiries continue.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
