Police probe after child approached in Narromine

Police are investigating after a child was approached in Narromine, NSW Police say.

About 5pm on Friday 11 August 2017, a 15-year-old boy was walking on Parkes Road, Narromine, when he was approached by an unknown man driving a grey Hyundai vehicle.

Police have been told the man talked to the boy before he offered him a lift.

The boy declined and ran home. He reported the matter to his mother, who notified authorities.

Officers attached to Orana Local Area Command commenced an investigation and would like to speak to a man that may be able to assist.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance and aged in his 50’s. He was wearing a blue shirt, an orange coloured high visibility jacket and a dark coloured beanie.
